Answer is : y = 1/4 x + 1

This is what I came up with.
y- 1 = 1/4 {x - 4}
The last line is the error! The value of the point is x=1 and y=4. You got them backwards. Should be:
Add +4 to each side:
R^2 at SCC

slope intercept form: y= mx + b
m= slope
b= the point where the line intercepts with the y-axis (the y value)
The line is going through or "intercepts" the y-axis at points (1,4).
The given slope is 1/4.
Just fill in what we know into the equation:
m(slope)=1/4
b(intercept point on the y-axis)=4 :we get this from the given points (1,4)
y=1/4x + 4
