How do you use a graphing calculator to graph the following equation: x2-11x+18. I am assuming by X2 it means x to the second power. I assume you have a TI-82, 83 or 84. If so, 1. Press the " Y= " key If anything is listed after Y1= (or after Y2= or any of the Y's), then press "CLEAR" to get rid of it 2. After Y1= type X²-11X+10 To type the exponent " ² ", use the " x² " key. 3. Press the " WINDOW " key After Xmin= type -10 After Xmax= type 20 After Xscl= type 5 After Ymin= type -25 After Ymax= type 20 After Yscl= type 5 (Leave the resolution set at 1, if your TI has this) 4. Press the " GRAPH " key If this doesn't work, then something else need to be cleared. Post again or email me. Edwin AnlytcPhil@aol.com
