ok you subtract [5] to each side. as shown:
5 + x = 5
-5 -5
-----------
cross out the two [5]
you will get
x=0
because if you subtract 5 and 5 [5-5]
you get [0]
so get as shown below:
0

2
you divide and your answer is 0 becuase 0 x 2 = 0
