1/2(x+4) = 1/3 (3x-6)
and
5/2 X = -10
for the first one I don't understand the end when the steps show it going back into parentheses

Let's start by getting rid of those pesky fractions. Notice that we have a denominator of 2 on one side and a denominator of 3 on the other side. 2 times 3 is 6, so let's multiply the whole schmierkäse by 6.



Now use the distributive property to get rid of the parentheses:



Add -6x to both sides:



Add -12 to both sides:



Multiply both sides by
