Question 490740: WHAT IS THE SLOPE AND Y-INTERCEPT OF THE LINE WHOSE EQUATION IS 2X-Y=8?

Move terms around til it looks like the "slope-intercept" form:
y = mx + b
.
2X-Y=8
subtracting 2X from both sides:
-Y = -2X+8
multiplying both sides by -1:
Y = 2X-8
.
from inspection:
slope is 2
y-intercept is at (0,-8)
