Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2x - 3y = 12
3y=2x-12
y=(2x-12)/3
To graph the equation you need two points.
Let x=0 then y=-12/3=-4 giving you the point (0,-4)
Let x=6 then y=(12-12)/3=0 giving you the point (6,0)
Plot these two points and any others you wish to calculate.
Draw a line thru the two points; all ther points you calculate
should lie on the same line.
That is the graph you are looking for.

Stan H.

2X-3Y=12 OR -3Y=-2X+12 OR Y=2/3X-4 SLOPE OF THIS LINE IS 2/3 Y INTERCEPT IS -4 & THE X INTERCEPT IS 0=2/3X-4 OR 2/3X=-4 OR X=4*3/2 OR X=12/2 OR X=6 THUS TWO POINTS ON THIS LINE ARE (0,-4) & (6,0)
