1. Find an equation of the line containing the given pair of points. (-3, -9) and (-7, -8)
2. Find the slope and the y-intercept of the line. 4x=9y+72. Slope is___?
3. Determine whether the graphs of the pair of lines are parallel. x+11=y & y-x=-7
Slope of line x+11=y is ____?
Slope of y-x==7 is ____?
4. Find the slope-intercept equation of he line that has the given characteristics. Slope 0 and y-intercept is (0, 7)
The slope-intercept equation is y=_____?
5. Find the function value.
f(x)=x3(exponent 3) f(-6)= ____?
6.Write an equation of the line containing the given point and parallel to the given line. (2, -3); 3x-4y=9
7. Determine whether te graphs of the equations are perpendicular.
7x-5y=9
7y-5x=4
8. Find an equation of the line having the given slope and containing the given point. m= -3, (7, 9)
Please help, thank you!

I have a list of questions that I am having trouble with. Please help, I have already tried solving them and I am a visual learner. I need the correct answers by 2:50am EST in like 2 1.2 hours (Aug 15 2:50am). Thank you.
1. Find an equation of the line containing the given pair of points. (-3, -9) and (-7, -8)
x1 y1 x2 y2
-3 -9 -7 -8

slope m =(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
( -8 - -9 )/( -7 - -3 )
( 1 / -4 )
m= - 1/ 4 - 1/ 4

Plug value of the slope and point (-3 ,-9 ) in
Y = m x + b
-9.00 = 3/4 + b
b= -9 3/4
b= -9 3/ 4==> -39/4
So the equation will be

2. Find the slope and the y-intercept of the line. 4x=9y+72. Slope is
3. Determine whether the graphs of the pair of lines are parallel. x+11=y & y-x=-7
Slope of line x+11=y is 1
Slope of y-x==7 is 1
They are parallel
4. Find the slope-intercept equation of he line that has the given characteristics. Slope 0 and y-intercept is (0, 7)
The slope-intercept equation is
5. Find the function value.
f(x)=x3(exponent 3)
6.Write an equation of the line containing the given point and parallel to the given line. (2, -3); 3x-4y=9
3x-4y = 9
Find the slope of this line
make y the subject
-4 y = -3 x + 9
Divide by -4
y = 0.75 x -2.25
Compare this equation with y=mx+b
slope m = 3/4
The slope of a line parallel to the above line will be the same
The slope of the required line will be 3/4
m= 0.75 ,point ( 2 , -3 )
Find b by plugging the values of m & the point in
y=mx+b
-3 = 1.50 + b
b= -4.5
m= 0.75
Plug value of the slope and b in y = mx +b

7. Determine whether te graphs of the equations are perpendicular.
7x-5y=9
5y=7x-9
y=(7/5)x-9/5
7y-5x=4
7y=5x+4
y=(5/7)x+4/7
the slopes of the two lines are not negative reciprocal of each other. so they are not perpendicular
8. Find an equation of the line having the given slope and containing the given point. m= -3, (7, 9)

Cheers!
