Question 481208: I have to use the discriminant to determine the number of solutions of the quadratic equation, and weather the solutions are real or complex.
4/3x^2-2x+3/4=0
Answer by Alan3354(69443) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Discriminant = b^2 - 4ac
a = 4/3
b = -2
c = 3/4
D = 0
--> 1 real solution of multiplicity 2
x = 3/4, 3/4
It's 2 real solutions that are equal.
