you can only group "like" numbers, as in, they have to have the same variables e.g. x, a, b, etc and the same exponents e.g. x^2 and x^2, or a^3 and a^3 you cant combine xy^2 and ab^3
with that said...
x2 - 6x + 5x - 30
x2 -x -30
and i dont think that that can factor down any more

Factor by grouping:
x2 – 6x + 5x – 30
----------------------------
x(x - 6) + 5(x - 6)
= (x+5*)*(x-6)
