Question 476781: Find the equation of the line that goes through points ( 1 , 6 ) and ( 3 , 10 ).
Answer by checkley79(3341) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
( 1 , 6 ) and ( 3 , 10 )
SLOPE=(Y2-Y1)/x2-x1)
SLOPE=(10-6)/(3-1)
SLOPE=4/2=2 ANS.
Y=mX+b
6=2*1+b
6=2+b
b=6-2
b=4 ans for the y intercept.
Y=2X+4
