Question 470016: what is the equation of the line in standard form that is parallel to 4x+y= 3 and contains (4,7)
Answer by sofiyac(983)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Slope of your line is -4 since y=-4x+3
so the slope of new line will also be -4
y-y1=m(x-x1)
y-7=-4(x-4)
y-7=-4x+16
y=-4x+23
