Question 454526: What’s the equation of a line that passes through points (0, -1) and (2, 3)?

Answer by mananth(16946)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x1 y1 x2 y2
0 -1 2 3

slope m = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
(3-(-1))/(2-0)
(4/2)
m=2

Plug value of the slope and point (0,-1) in
Y =mx+b
-1.00=0+b
b=-1+0
b=-1
So the equation will be
Y =2x-1
