Question 448077: Explain in your own words why the line y = -2 is a horizontal line.
Find the slope of the line through the pair of points.
(-9,-6)and (-9,-8)
Answer by sudhanshu_kmr(1152) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
y = -2
slope of this line is zero, it is parallel to x-axis.
It will satisfy all points (x,-2) i.e any value for x.
slope of second line = -6+8/-9+9 = 2/0
so, undefined.
this line is parallel to y-axis and it is a vertical line. It will satisfy all points (-9,y) i.e any value for y.
