first, find the slope between:
(4,0) and (2,-5)
m = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
m = (-5-0)/(2-4)
m = -5/(-2)
m= 5/2
.
use the slope and one point (4,0) plug it into "point-slope" form:
y - y1 = m(x - x1)
y - 0 = (5/2)(x - 4)
