Answer by oberobic(2304) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
a+7 = 5a-9
Subtract a from both sides
7 = 5a -9
Add 9 to both sides
16 = 5a
so
5a = 16
Divide both sides by 5
a = 3 1/5
or
