Question 431238: which equation represents a line that passes through the points (2,3) and (-1, -3)?
Answer by mananth(16946) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x1 y1 x2 y2
2 3 -1 -3
slope m = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1) 2
m= -3
Plug value of the slope and point (2,3) in y= mx+b
3.00 = -6 + b
b= 3 -6
b= 9
So the equation will be
Y =-3x+ 9
