Question 428044: Here is another problem I am having difficulty figuring out:1) A customer has to decide between 2 phone plans A and B he wants to know which plan is better
2) The customer wants to know the best plan knowing that he uses the phone several times a day , he estimates that he uses the phone more than 2000 minutes a month
3)
Each plan has the following costs:
Plan A: 700 minutes for $100, with each additional minute costing .45.
Plan B:1400 minutes for $120, and each additional minute costing .40
I have figured out most of the problem by using the substitution method, but I can't seem to get the x an y intercepts for the table of values to correctly align with the problem. Can someone point me in the right direction?

2) The customer wants to know the best plan knowing that he uses the phone several times a day , he estimates that he uses the phone more than 2000 minutes a month
3)
Each plan has the following costs:
Plan A: 700 minutes for $100, with each additional minute costing .45.
A(x) = 100 + 0.45(x-700)
A(2000) = 100 + 0.45*1300 = $685
------------
Plan B:1400 minutes for $120, and each additional minute costing .40
B(x) = 120 + 0.40(x-1400)
B(2000) = 120 + 0.40*600 = $360
---
Plan B is better at 2000 minutes
