Question 424046: Use elimination to solve the system of equations.
3x-5y=1
2x+3y=-12

also need steps

Answer by mananth(16946)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3x-5y=1 .............1
2x+3y=-12.............2

multiply (1)by 3
Multiply (2) by 5
9x-15y=3
10x+15y= -60

Add the two equations
19x=-57
/19
x=-3
plug value of x in (1)
3x-5y=1
-9+-5y=1
-5y=1+9
-5y=10
y=-2
