Question 422075: Mrs. Jones and Mr. White were walking down Hard Dr and Tommy St. Their paths can be modeled by the following equation f(x)=2x-5 and f(x) =6x-4. When will they intersect
Answer by shree840(260) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Two lines when they intersect their x and y values are same
Y=2x-5=6x-4
or 4x=-1
x=-1/4
substituting in any equation we get y
2x-5=2*-1/4-5=-1/2-5=-5.5
answer x=-1/4 y=-5.5
