Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Angle U and angle V ae complementary angles. If angle U is three less than twice angle V, what are the measures of the angles?
-----------------
Equations:
U + V = 90
U = 2V-3
------------
Substitute for "U" and solve for "V":
2V-3+V = 90
3v = 93
V = 31 degrees
-----
Solve for "U":
U = 2V-3
U = 2*31-3
U = 62-3
U = 59 degrees
