Question 397840: Could you assist me with finding the slope and the y-intercept of the following:
6-1/5y=4x

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
the slope and the y-intercept of the following:
6-1/5y=4x
----
6-(1/5)y = 4x
---
Add (1/5)y to both sides to get:
6 = (1/5)y + 4x
---
Subtract 4x from both sides to get:
(1/5)y = -4x+6
---
Multiply both sides by 5 to get:
y = -20x+30
---
slope = -20
intercept = 30
