Question 39450: Graph this system of inequalities. Name the coordinates of the verics of the feasible region. Find the maximum and minimum values of the given function.
y >= 2
1 =< x =< 5
y =< x + 3
f(x,y) = 3x-2y
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Graph the inequalities.
Find the vertices: (1,2),(5,2),(1,4),(5,8)
Substitute each x,y pair into 3x-2y to find the minimum and maximum values
(1,2); -1
(5,2):5 (maximum)
(1,4):-7 (minimum)
(5,8):-1
