Question 387530: Here is my problem. Parallel to the graph of 3x+2y=5; -intercept (0,-1)
Answer by Jk22(389) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3x+2y=5 is like : 2y=-3x+5, the slope is determined by the factors -3 and 2, the parallel should have same slope, hence, those factor should remain the same.
To find the new term instead of 5, we plug the intercept (x,y)=(0,-1) to be solution, we see that if x=0 and y=-1, then -2 should replace 5, the equation becomes :
2y=-3x-2 or 2y+3x=-2
