Hi,
parallel to 4x - 2y = 6
4x - 2y = 6
2x - 3 = y
the standard slope-intercept form for an equation of a line y = mx + b
where m is the slope and b the y-intercept. this ex. slope = 2
Line parlel will have the identical slope
y = 2x + b usin gordered pair Pt(1,2) to solve for b
2 = 2 + b
0 = b
y = 2x
