Question 380065: Can someone help understand how to plug in the point in graphic lines. Like for example this problem y=-1/5x-2. I need step by step HELP!!!!
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
y=(-1/5)x-2
---
To graph the line you need two points.
----
Let x = 0, then y = -2 giving you point (0,-2)
---------------------------------
Let x = 5, then y = -1 giving you point (5,-1)
----
Plot those points and draw a line thru them to get:
