Question 379970: Please help explain how to find the slope and y - intercept of the equation
4y-x=3

Answer by robertb(5830)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Rewrite the equation in slope-intercept form.
Transpose -x to the right side: 4y = x + 3;
Divide both sides by 4: y = x/4 + 3/4.
This is already in slope-intercept form. Thus slope is 1/4, and the y-intercept is 3/4.
