Question 363382: I need to write two equations in standard form that are equivalent to this given equation:
0.11x + 2.3y = -0.3
I'm not quite sure how to do that. I think .11 is my slope, but I'm not positive.
How do I figure out those two standard form equations?

Answer by amoresroy(361)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The standard form on slope and intercept is:
y = mx + b
Given;
.11x + 2.3 y = -.3
subtract both sides by .11x
2.3y = -.11x -.3
divide both sides by 2.3
y = -.11x/2.3 - .3/2.3
y = -.0478x - .13
slope = -0.0478
y intercept = -0.13
