Show work

Answer by robertb(5830)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
57.50=.05x+.06(1000-x),
57.50 = .05x + 60-0.06x,
57.50 - 60= -0.01x
-2.5 = -0.01x, after transposing 60 from the left side to the right side.
-2.5/-0.01 = x
x = 250.
