1)Use the ordered pairs given and the point-slope formula:
to find m
2)Once you have found m, substitute one of the order pairs into:
y = mx + b to find b
1)(-4,-1) and (-3,-2)
m = -1/1 = -1
2. y = -x + 6
Using (-3,-2) to solve for b
-2 = 3 + b
-5 = b
y = -x -5
