Hi,
Let x represent the width. the length is then (6x + 8m)
*Note P for a rectangle = 2l ++ 2w
2(6x + 8) + 2x = 156
Simplify and Solve
12x + 16 +2x = 156
14x = 140
x = 10cm is the width, length (6*10 + 8cm) = 68cm
checking our answer
2*10 + 2*68 = 156
