Y=mX+b IS THE LINEAR EQUATION.
m=slope=(Y2-Y1)/(X2-X1)
b=the Y intercept.
1. (-1,2)(-4,0)
m=(0-2)/(-4+1)
m=-2/-3=2/3 ans. for the slope.
2=2/3*-1+b
2=-2/3+b
b=2+2/3
b=6/3+2/3=8/3 ans. for the Y intercept.
Y=2X/3+8/3 (red line)
---------------------------
2. (3,1)+(-2,11)
m=(11-1)/(-2-3)
m=10/-5=-2 ans. for the slope.
1=3*-2+b
1=-6+b
b=1+6
b=7 ans/ for the Y intercept.
Y=-2X+7 (green line)
