First you would multipy, next you have to get the variables on one side and the numbers on the other.

-3(2x+1)=2(x-2)
-6x-3=2x-4
-2x -2x
-8x-3=-4
+3 +3
-8x=-1
-8x/-8=-1/-8
x=-1/8
