find the slope of a line perpendicular to 2x-5y=3

2x - 5y = 3
change to slope-intercept form of y = mx + b, where m is the slope
and b is the y-intercept (vertical-intercept or point (0,b))
-5y = -2x + 3 (brought x term to other side)
y = (-2/-5)x + 3/(-5)
y = (2/5)x - 3/5
the perpendicular line will have a slope that is negative reciprocal
perpendicular line's slope = -5/2
