Question 34093: Can you explain in detail, how to solve this please?
Solve the system of equations by substitution:
4x - 3y = 1
12x - 9y = 3
Thank you so much!
Answer by Prithwis(166) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
4x - 3y = 1 (multiply both side with 3)
=> 12x - 9y = 3...... (1)
12x - 9y = 3......... (2)
Equations 1 and 2 are the same.
If x = k (k real),
from (1) 4k-3y=1
=> y = 1/3(4k-1);
(x,y) = [k,1/3(4k-1)], k real
