10x+3y=8-------------(1)
2x+y=2---------------(2)
multiply (2) by 3 ie,
3*2x+3*y=3*2
=> 6x+3y=6--------------(3)
now the equations are
10x+3y =8-----------(1)
6x+3y=6-------------(3)
subtract(1)-(3)
=> 4x=2
x=2/4
x =1/2
substitute the value x=1/2 in (1)
10x+3y =8
10*1/2+3y=8
5+3y=8
3y=8-5=3
3y=3
y=1

proof:
put x=1/2 and y=1 in the given equation
10x+3y=8
10*1/2+3*1=8
5+3=8
8=8
RHS=LHS
