Question 332161: whats an equation of the lines that passes through (4,3) and its parallel to the line 3x-y=7?
Answer by mananth(16946)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(4,3) and its parallel to the line
3x-y=7
Rewrite in slope intercept form
y=3x-7
..
compare with y=mx+b
slope m =3
..
we have to find the intercept.
y= mx +b
(3,4) and parallel to the line y=3x-7
so slope is =3
4=3*3+b
4-9=b
b=-5
The equation of line = y = 3x-5
..

The red line is y=3x-5
