Fine the slop of a line parallel to the graph of each equation .
Please , amd thank you ( :
1. y=2/7x+1
2. y=-1/2x+1
3. y-3=0
4. 9x-5y=6
5. 6x-7y=10
---------------
It's the slope, usually m is used for it.
If the eqn is in "slope-intercept" form, it's the coefficent of the x term.
------------
1. y=2/7x+1
m = 2/7
The slope of all lines parallel have the same slope, 2/7.
--------------
2. y=-1/2x+1
m = -1/2
------------
3. y-3=0
y = 0x + 3
m = 0
---------
4. 9x-5y=6
Put into slope-intercept form, which means solve for y.
5y = 9x-6
y = (9/5)x - 6/5
m = 9/5
-----------
5. 6x-7y=10
Do the other the same way.
