Question 320482: what is the solution of the following system of equations?
4y - x = 10
3y + 5x = -4

Answer by checkley77(12844)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
4y-x=10 multiply by 5 & add.
3y+5x=-4
20y-5x=50
-----------------
23y=46
y=46/23
y=2 ans.
4*2-x=10
8-x=10
-x=10-8
-x=2
x=-2ans.
Proof:
3*2+5*-2=-4
6-10=-4
-4=-4
