General Equation of the line parallel to y=5x+2 is
y=5x+C , C is any constant
as the line passes through the point (2,4), we get 4 = 5 X 2 + C
C=-6
Hence , equation of the line parallel to y=5x+2 through the point (2,4)is
y = 5x-6.
