Question 313810: d=3t-2, can you please list the independent variable, slope and y- intercept even though the variables are different? If the coefficient of "t" were negative, how does this change the graphical representation of this line?
Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
d=3t-2,
Can you please list the independent
variable: t
slope: 3
y- intercept: -2
--------------------------------
even though the variables are different?
If the coefficient of "t" were negative, how does this change the graphical representation of this line?
Ans: The slope would be negative. This would make the the line go downhill
as you look at it from left to right.
-------------------------------------------
Positive slope looks like this:

-----
Negative slope looks like this:
