Question 309865: Determine the x- and y- intercepts (if any) of the given equation. Plot the intercepts and graph the line. The equation is 56 + 7y = 0. How can this be solved?
Answer by checkley77(12844) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The standard line equation is Y=mX+b. Where m=the slope & b=the Y intercept.
56 + 7y = 0
7y=-56
y=-56/7
y=-8 ans. for the Y intercept.
Note that there is no X term thus there is no X intercept & the slope is assumed to be 0.
(graph 300x200 pixels, x from -6 to 5, y from -10 to 10, y = -8).
