Question 309185: Please help, I am studying for a final..
A rational number is the quotient of two intergers if the demoninator is nonzero. What are the two integers that when divided create the rational number -0.7? Use intergers that would create a simplied fraction if expressed in that form.

__+___=-0.7
I know the correct answers are -7,10... I just don't know how to acheive this.
Thank you so much

If you divide any number by 10, you move the decimal point one place to the left. The number 7 starts out with the decimal point immediately after it, thus 7. Moving the decimal point one place to the left makes it .7

Now if you divide -7 by 10, you get -.7

Note that your "+" sign is incorrect. You need a sign.

Also note that -7 and 10 is only one of two correct answers to this question as posed.

7 and -10 is equally correct.

-.7=-(7/10)=(-7)/(10) and (7)/(-10)
so the two integers are
-7 and 10
and
7 and -10
Note:integer not interger
