Question 298515: how to graph y=1/2x-3/2
Answer by blwinbbbles(106) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
y = 1/2x - 3/2
To graph you need at least two coordinates...
So:
Start with x = 0
y = 1/2(0) - 3/2
y = -3/2
first coordinate (0,-3/2)
Now do y = 0
0 = 1/2x - 3/2 add 3/2 to both sides
3/2 = 1/2x multiple both sides by 2
6/2 = x
3 = x
second coordinate (3,0)
Graph these two point and draw a line connecting them
you have now graphed the equation
