Question 296616: By looking at two linear equations, how can you tell that the corresponding lines are parallel?
Answer by richwmiller(17219) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If the linear equations are in slope intercept form you can compare the m(slopes).
If the linear equations are in standard form you can see -a/b are the slopes and compare.
If the slopes are equal the lines are parallel.
