Question 295836: How do I find the slope of the line with this equation, x = -2?
Answer by richwmiller(17219) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Two special linear equations are
y=?
This a horizontal line straight across the page with slope 0
and
x=?
This is a vertical line up and down the page with slope undefined
Remember what slope is
It is the change in y over the change in x
but here x never changes so it is zero but you can't divide by zero
So the slope is undefined.
