Question 293268: When using the addition or substitution method, how can you tell if a system of linear equations has infinitely many solutions? What is the relationship between the graphs of the two equations?
Answer by Alan3354(69443) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The method doesn't matter.
-------------
If the graphs intersect, the point of intersection is the ONE solution.
If they coincide, there are an infinite # of solutions.
If they are parallel, there is no intersection, and no solution.
