Question 289175: I need help solving
5x+2y=-7
7x-3y=13
Answer by checkley77(12844) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
5x+2y=-7 multiply by 3
7x-3y=13 multiply by 2 & add.
15x+6y=-21
14x-6y=26
-------------------
29x=5
x=5/29 ans.
5*5/29+2y=-7
25/29+2y=-7
2y=-7-25/29
2y=(-7*29-25)/29
2y=(-203-25)/29
2y=-228/29
y=(-228/29)/2
y=-228/29*1/2
y=-114/29 ans.
Proof:
7*5/29-3*(-114/29)=13
35/29+342/29=13
377/29=13
13=13
