Question 288740: how do you get the x- intercept of y=5/4x-2..........i got a slope of 5/4 and i got an x-intercept of (4/5,0) the x-intercept doesn't sound right to me can you help me??? thanks
Answer by richwmiller(17219) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You are right. It is not (4/5,0)
The x intercept is when y=0
0=5x/4-2
2=5x/4
8=5x
8/5=x
(8/5,0)
Are you sure you want the x intercept and not the y intercept?
