First draw the line for the equation x + y = 1. Two points on that line are (1,0) and (0,1). The line itself is not part of the graph of the inequality since the operator is > and not >=.
The graph of the inequality is the half-plane on one side of the line through (1,0) and (0,1). To determine which side, choose a point and see if the values for x and y satisfy the inequality. Let's try the point (2,3). Since 2 + 3 > 1 this point is on the half plane containing the graph of the inequality. You just need to shade the side of the line containing (2,3) and show the line itself as dashed to indicate it is not part of the graph of the solution set of the inequality.
