Question 281033: find the equation of the line through (4,3) perpendicular to the line 3x+y=7
Answer by JBarnum(2146) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(4,3) perpendicular to the line 3x+y=7
when finding the perpendicular line u need to use the opposite reciprical of its slope.
put it in slope intercept form y=mx+b
so is the slope of the perpendicular line so the opposite reciprical is
now we have 3 known variables out of 4
use the slope and the point to find the intercept
now re write the slope intercept form with the slope and intercept of the line
theres your line
